How we collect, use and look after your personal information, under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Who we are
Taimana is a brand of BioCosmeceuticals Ltd, a New Zealand company based in New Plymouth. We are responsible for the personal information collected through taimanabeauty.com. Our privacy officer is Andrea Taimana, and you can reach her at hello@taimanabeauty.com.
What we collect
When you join our updates, we collect your email address. That is the only thing the form asks for.
We collect personal information directly from you. We do not buy lists or collect information about you from other people or sources. If that ever changes, we will tell you, as the Privacy Act requires.
If you email us, we keep your email address, your name if you give it, and what you write to us, so we can reply.
We do not use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this website. Our website host keeps standard technical logs, such as your IP address and browser type, for security. The fonts on this site load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address in order to send the font files.
Why we collect it
We use your email address only to send you occasional updates from Andrea about Taimana, skin in change and what comes next, and to reply to messages you send us. We will not use it for anything else without asking you first.
Joining is entirely optional. If you do not give us your email address, the only difference is that you will not receive our updates.
Who can see it
Only Taimana. We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing.
We use trusted service providers to run the website and our email: Netlify, which hosts this site and stores sign-ups; Google, which delivers sign-up notifications to us; and Microsoft, which runs our hello@ mailbox. They store information on our behalf only. Their servers may be outside New Zealand, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it from our list.
Our emails
We only send updates to people who have asked for them by joining our list, as required by the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007. We do not sell products through this website or these emails. Every email will say it is from Taimana and will tell you how to unsubscribe. You can also unsubscribe at any time by emailing hello@taimanabeauty.com with the word Unsubscribe. We act on unsubscribe requests within five working days.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Access to our sign-up list is limited to Taimana.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020, including the amendments in force from 1 May 2026, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Email hello@taimanabeauty.com and we will respond within 20 working days.
If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date below.
