SUPPORTING INDIGENOUS MĀORI WOMEN IN THEIR TRADITIONAL REGENERATIVE HARVESTING PRACTICES
HE IHO WHANONGA PONO - OUR CORE VALUES
Our kaupapa – guiding principles and values are rooted in interdependence, respect, and gratitude towards Papatūānuku (Earth Mother) and the Tangata Whenua (People of the Land) of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
We are committed towards better sustainable and socially responsible practices across our daily operations and to regenerating, preserving, and protecting New Zealand’s unique biodiversity.
SUPPORTING LOCAL MĀORI WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS
We are actively involved in improving economic and educational situations in rural Māori communities by providing meaningful entrepreneurship and empowerment opportunities, particularly in the female space. To deliver on that, we’re a part of a unique collaboration model – He Tautāwhitia Ngā Pakihi Wahine Māori | Supporting local Māori women entrepreneurs. We provide education and mentorship to indigenous women from our harvesting community and purchase the ingredients for our skincare obtained from their traditional regenerative harvesting practices.
